The rules:

If you have any questions, contact a moderator via PM.

1.The Golden Rule of this board: Be respectful.

2. No matter how badly we type in chats or instant messages, good spelling and grammar are a must here, particularly because we may have people on this board who use translators, and also so we can understand what another character is doing without have to reread. We don't ask for perfection but please pay attention to good grammar.

3. With the exception of the off topic threads, read the entire thread before commenting in it. If the thread has only had two [or three] characters in deep conversation, ask before getting involved.

4. Don't kill other characters without permission.

5. Don't move another character without permission (also known as "god modding").

6. Don´t make your characters all knowing (also known as "meta-gaming").

7. Moderate power use. Even the best of mutants have limitations.

8. Before you start a plot-line that will affect the whole board, please run it by a staff member before posting.

9. The game is not in real time. Do not treat it like it is. If you need to leave, a thread does not end because of that. Posting can and will occur over multiple days. Accordingly, do not badger someone into posting via PM or another IM service.

10. Powers, try to keep within reason. We don't want to run across an OMEGA level mutant, that is simply OMEGA because he/she has over 5 powers. Keep powers within reason.

11. Races, Super, Mutants, Humans, and aliens are aloud. I don't want to hear any complaints that a character is not a mutant. HOWEVER remember that we take place in the future. If I feel your character does not belong in our world, accept it.

12. Moderators will occasionally intervene in a thread. This is done VERY rarely and only if it fits in the over all plot.

13. If you have the slightest bit of doubt, ASK!

14. The shortest post in the rp area should be, 4 sentences (this is a minimum, please don't make all your posts this short). One liners will be tolerated if they are the only option. Try not to over use them.

15. YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTOR/ACTRESS/SINGER. We need to be able to find footage and/or pictures.

16. There is a 4 character limit! This is not because we feel you as a player can not handle more then this, it is because we do not want anyone to leave taking away half our characters.

17. Please refrain from coloring your text unless it is expressing the use of a power.

18. As admin I reserve the right to deny, ban and delete any member/character I see fit.

Character Creation Rules:

1. Before making a character check the family tree face claim. I'd hate for you to come up with a character who's actor/actress is already taken. Its a real let down.

2. Characters can be no younger then 13

3. Cannons are not aloud, unless there is a reason for them to be an around which up to me the admin to decide.

4. No character whos mutant abilities manefest before the age of 10 will not be accepted. Mutant abilities very rarely show before puberty which on average comes at about 10.

An exception to this will be those who are physically mutated, as that often shows from birth.

5. When in doubt? Ask.

Board Etiquette

Remember, the Golden Rule of our board: be respectful!!

Please be respectful of others; their feelings, beliefs and their characters or we run a risk of being a board tainted by hate and prejudice.

-One of the biggest problems with any RPG is that people forget this equation:

ICA = ICC. ICC =/= OCC. (For those who don't know, In Character Actions Equal In Character Consequences. In Character Consequences Does Not Equal Out of Character Consequences).

Accordingly:

Everyone, please keep in mind that THIS IS ONLY A GAME!! Things that happen in the game (especially particularly bad things) are not personally directed at you, they are a development in the story. By the same token, we ask that in the Off Topic threads, please keep in character fighting/insulting to a bare minimum. Off Topic threads are meant to be exactly that: off topic, and out of game. We don't want ANYONE to feel they are being personally attacked.

The Off Topic Threads

There are basically three definite "DO NOT POST" rules for the OT:

1. Please don't post anything sexual. This is because of possible liability issues since their will be minors on the board, not because we feel like being sex police or treating anyone like
babies.

2. If you have a complaint about the way the game is being run, the way someone else is posting, or some other game/character/player issue, the OT is not the place to post it. Address it by PMing a moderator, or PMing the player in question, not ranting in the off topic.

3. Be respectful of one another. Treat other people as YOU want to be treated. You may only see an avatar, but that's a PERSON you're posting to and about. If would be great if you could stay out of character, but...obviously, we all come here to be in character. So, no matter what or who you're posting as, the first rule is always respect.

If you have an issue with something someone is posting, unless it violates these three rules, the polite thing to do is merely to leave the thread until the conversation swings. I've done it before, and I know that EVERYONE does it in real life conversations. Treat the off topic the same way.
